Good aftermarket manual, though a cheap paper

Haynes is easy to follow as usual, and thorough...not much different than Chilton anymore. I think the same company owns them both. Good manual none-the-less; however, I would reccomend a laminate covering for the front and back if you are going to use it heavily, as the paper and cover materials are very cheap and not durable.

Like most Chilton manuals, it will leave you scratching your head

I have been using Chilton manuals for almost 30 years, and have always been surprised how much information is not included.

For example, I could find no explanation of how to drain the coolant (drain plug on bottom left rear of radiator (as you face the car)).

No real trouble shooting advice (like how to fix the infamous Ion ignition/key problem).

Also, It would have been helpful if they included some of the vast information out there about the dangers of adding non-Dexcool coolant to the system.

But you will get the basics with this book. Just be prepared to hit the web to fill in the blanks.

It'll make you laugh, it'll make you think. It'll make you look differently at turtles, at the very least.

There are some books that make you rethink things in a massive way. This one is one of them. The book opened my mind to the boundaries between faith, religion, and the religious. It shaped my understanding in this matter in a way that still holds today, nearly 20 years after I first picked it up. Heck, I even referenced it during my university studies, much to the awe and surprise of the lecturer who heard it (He never expected this sort of thinking from an undergrad).
But even if you don't need to have someone shatter your world, even if this stuff is clear to you, this is still a ridiculously funny, heartfelt, and interesting book to read. It will take you on a journey across desserts and seas along with a boy and a turtle and a whole lot of characters, from crypto-atheists to waterlogged philosophers to people up poles and steam powered turtles.
It's a Discworld novel, and a wonder.
Just pick it up and you'll see what I mean.

Wanna read a brilliant,funny story about "Religion" vs "Faith"? This is the book for you. Terry Pracchett's "Small Gods" skewers organized religion with a Discworld Tale about Brutha, the last True Believer in the Great God Om who, due to lack of faith, has been reduced to the form of a small tortoise. Om needs Brutha's help and the sincere, loyal initiate will gladly help his deity and maybe teach HIM a lesson in humanity.

In this novel of the Discworld, Terry Pratchett takes on religious fundamentalism, a problem faced by major religions of our own world--Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and probably a few others. Pratchett depicts the adventures of the god Om, suddenly incarnate as a tortoise, and Brutha, the only person who recognizes Om, as they confront a society subjugated by a religion purporting to worship Om. The wit of the author entertains while gently engaging us to think about the human limitations and needs that lie beneath the creation, acceptance, and enforcement of the fundamentalist viewpoint.

The key issue, Moati argues, is not whether "intentionality," a concept derived from Husserl's phenomenology, can or cannot be linked to Austin's speech-acts as defined in his groundbreaking How to Do Things with Words, but rather the emphasis Searle placed on the performativity and determined pragmatic values of Austin's speech-acts, whereas Derrida insisted on the trace of writing behind every act of speech and the iterability of signs in different contexts.

Raoul Moati's book is much more than a review of the debate―he is part of the debate, bringing it to its philosophical conclusion. Sometimes, while reading his book, one has the feeling that Derrida and Searle engaged in their debate so that Moati could write his book on them, in the same way that, for Hegel, the Peloponnesian War was fought so that Thucydides could write his classic book on it. Derrida and Searle's confrontation divided once and for all philosophical debate and division with consequences that probably surpassed both masters' predictions. The fact that this debate never took place (considering that Searle and Derrida never met personally and the former also refused to reprint one of his responses in an edited collection) makes Moati's text particularly useful in reconstructing the history of this famous dispute. Better Than Expected

Having loved her previous books 'Style on a Budget' and 'Flea Market Style', I wondered whether Emily Chalmers's latest book would be up to their excellent standard. I was not disappointed. The best thing for me was that it doesn't just contain the same old images that we've seen in various books and magazine articles. It is fresh and up to date. All the spaces are carefully edited and beautifully photographed. There are dozens of ideas to apply to one's own home. Absolutely loved it!!

Much Better Than 'Flea Market Style'

What a difference from the author's previous book, Flea Market Style, which I had nothing positive to say about (which is rare). I really enjoyed reading Modern Vintage Style. I think perhaps the layout of this book (dividing into two parts - Inspiration and Style) has a great deal to do with that. Instead of just showing images with little to no details as the previous book had done, this book provides details on the owner and their inspiration or what they were trying to achieve. Each section begins with an overview (i.e. Part I is furniture, lighting, textiles, decorating, collections & display vs Part II which is cook & eat, live, sleep, bathe) and is then followed by examples with detailed information that relates back to the text. This is a book that I can see myself returning to in the future.

Helpful for New Managers Looking for a Refresher Course

I have probably fifteen corners rolled down with things I want to remember or quotes that I loved from this book.

Though I found the personal branding chapter pretty basic (I've read quite a few books on the subject), the rest of the book was a great overview and refresher for someone new to managing others, or even just someone wanting to be a better leader, even if you don't have any direct reports.

I'm in the process of doing my first performance review for my first ever direct report, and I'm very new to giving constructive feedback. The "How to Say it" blurb on Giving Negative/Constructive feedback was just what I needed. I love having a few of these phrases in my back pocket to make sure I'm talking about the behavior and not the person.

Though I work in a company with other young people, it was really interesting to read the research about working with Baby Boomers.

Overall, I thought the book was well-written, well-organized, and easy to get through. I would recommend to new managers looking for some training or an overview of best management practices.

I was expecting something unique and distinct from most of what's already out there. The fact that I didn't, i guess, was helpful in understanding the 'new rules for the next generation of leaders' -- they're basically the same rules that we all should be thinking about. If you're looking for breakthrough thinking, this isn't it. On the other hand, if you're looking for a practical guide to the things you ought to be thinking about and doing as you contemplate management, then it's a very good resource.
